On day one, Ranvir plants 1 flower. On day two, she plants 2 additonal flowers. This continues on where on day n, she has planted n more additional flowers. How many total flowers has she planted at the end of day 7?

Hey Everyone,

I got 28 as the answer to this problem. This is how I solved it:

1 flower (1st day)
+ 2 flowers (2nd day)
+ 3 flowers (3rd day)
+ 4 flowers (4th day)
+ 5 flowers (5th day)
+ 6 flowers (6th day)
+ 7 flowers (7th day)

which by using (n*(n+1))/2= 56/2= 28.

Sincerely,
